How will my information be used ?

HKNS pledges to maintain privacy of its donors. HKNS will not collect any personally identifying information except when specifically and knowingly provided by visitors to our site. Such information includes name, postal address, e-mail address and phone number. At times, leprosyindia.org may share aggregate, or summary, statistics about our donors, donations, traffic patterns, and related site information with reputed organizations. However, this information will NEVER include any personally identifying information.

Credit card information is NEVER shared under any circumstances.


Where and how  do i donate for leprosy patients ?

Contact information as requested to fill the donation form is required to send acknowledgement and certificates from HKNS to our donors, and to get in touch with the donors when necessary. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the donor for the donation made. Donors also have the option of donating over the toll-free telephone number (US Donors only) or fax or may choose to donate by Demand Draft (Banker's Check) via post.

Are these donations exempt from tax ?

Cheques/Bank drafts may please be drawn in favour of 'Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh'.
Donations are exempted from Income Tax under Section 80G (1961) [Valid for Indian donors only]

How do foreign donors donate ?

Foreign donors can donate directly as HKNS is registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA - 1976).
