 Objectives of  the Sangh :
1. To eradicate and control the disease and assist the leprosy affected persons in their social and economic rehabilitation.
2. To establish Co-ordination amongst all the organizations working in the field of leprosy in Delhi, and to render them necessary whenever desired.
3. To provide services for the treatment of leprosy and conduct research on the socio, psycho and economic conditions of the patients.
4. To educate the patients and students in particular and the public at large about the various aspects of the disease and the plight of leprosy affected persons.
5. To establish institutions, clinics and hospitals for the control and treatment of leprosy.
   
 6.  The Sangh is commited to provide information and treatment of leprosy from india.
   
 7. Sangh is also commited to provide "Clinical Treatment of Leprosy.
In pursuance of the above objectives the Delhi Branch of the Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh established a colony 'Anand Gram' comprising of 400 leprosy affected persons in the year 1961. None of the inmates of this colony liked to go for begging. The Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh, Delhi Branch constructed 118 pucca tenement of 'Anand Gram'. To facilitate agriculture and for providing drinking water a tube-well was also installed. Roads and street lights were provided. With the collaboration of Late Dr. Mrs. Nelson a medical clinic was also set up to provided treatment the inmates.
 

HOW WE HAVE FULFILLED THESE OBJECTIVES:


In pursuance of the above objectives the Delhi Branch of the Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh established a colony “Anand Gram” comprising of 400 leprosy affected persons in the Year 1961. None of the inmates of this colony liked to go for begging.

The Hind Kusht Nivaran Sangh, Delhi Branch constructed 118 pucca tenements for the inmates of Anand Gram. To facilitate agriculture and for providing drinking water a tube well was also installed. Roads and streetlights were provided. With the collaboration of Late Dr. Mrs. Nelson a medical clinic was also set up to provide treatment of the inmates.

The following socio – economic rehabilitation programmes were started for cored leprosy affected persons. 
1.      Production of Handloom cloth
2.      Physio-therapy unit and plastic surgery
3.      Poultry farming
4.      Cultivation of vegetables 
5.      Sewing center 
6.      Farming etc


After 18 years of its establishment Anand Gram was handed over to the Delhi Government.
